Meet Arey
From a young age, Arey felt a deep sense of enthusiasm to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Drawing from her unique background in the military and her social and clinical work, treating diverse populations, she has skillfully integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a person-centered approach to facilitate growth in her clients. Arey also uses motivational interviewing to assist clients in diving deep, helping them gain further insight and clarity.
Throughout her years of counseling, Arey has witnessed the transformative power of therapy, especially in Black communities. She acknowledges the need for increased access to mental health services. This is why she aims to empower individuals with the knowledge to prioritize their mental well-being and seek professional help when necessary. Through her work, she pushes to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health in Black communities and create a safe space for individuals to seek support that comes without fears or judgment.
She currently meets virtually with individual adults and couples that experience challenging life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and trauma. She makes it her business to ensure each client feels heard, validated, and welcomed.
